1 Informática, matemáticas: Función que mapea y codifica los elementos desde un dominio a otro espacio. Debe cumplir con las propiedades de ser: determinística, no monótona, resistente a la preimagen, no inyectiva y resistente a las colisiones. Sus usos principales son para codificar información o guardar la información de un diccionario informático.
